About Viewers
Three viewers for three kinds of file you cannot usefully read as plain text. A CSV opens as a sortable table instead of a wall of commas, a JSON document opens formatted instead of as one long line, and any file at all opens as a hex dump with its bytes laid out beside their readable characters.
The point of a viewer rather than an editor is that nothing changes. You are reading a file to find out what is in it, and the file you opened is exactly the file you still have afterwards.
Which One Should You Use?
A spreadsheet export
Use the CSV viewer. Sorting and filtering in a table is how you find the one bad row in ten thousand.
An API response or config file
Use the JSON viewer, which formats and validates at the same time and points at the position of a syntax error.
A file of unknown type
Use the hex viewer. The first few bytes tell you what a file actually is, regardless of what its extension claims.
