Rotate PDF pages without uploading the file
Rotation turns pages in 90 degree steps and the file never leaves your machine. It fixes pages that went into a scanner sideways; it does not alter the underlying content of the page.

In detail
A PDF that needs rotating is almost always a scan, and a scan is almost always something personal: a signed form, a medical result, a receipt for an expense claim, an identity page. It arrived sideways because of how it was fed into a machine, and correcting that should not require sending it to a stranger.
Rotation is recorded as a property of the page rather than a redraw of its content, so it is fast, lossless and reversible. Nothing about the words or the image changes; a viewer simply presents the page the other way up. That also means rotation cannot repair a scan that is mirrored or one that went in at fifteen degrees, because neither of those is a quarter turn.
If you are also going to stamp page numbers or add a watermark, rotate first and then check where the stamp landed. Working the other way round means placing marks relative to an orientation you are about to change. Go through every page of a mixed batch too, since scanners produce documents where half the pages are upright and half are not.
The check for this one is quick because the operation is quick. Open the network panel, rotate, download, and confirm nothing went out. Or simply do the whole thing with the network disconnected: the page is loaded, the file is on your disk, and neither needs anything else.
Things that catch people out
- 180 degrees is not a mirror. If the scan is flipped rather than upside down, rotation cannot fix it.
- Rotating the view inside a reader is not the same as rotating the file. Save the rotated document, otherwise it prints as it was.
- Rotate before stamping page numbers or a watermark, then check the stamp landed in the corner you expected.
Try it: Hash Generator
The file hasher is on every page here because it takes any file at all and proves the point: disconnect from the network, drop a file in, and it still returns a checksum you can compare against a published one.

MD5 is cryptographically broken and should not be used for security purposes. Use SHA-256 or SHA-512 instead.
